It is illegal to trade liquid nicotine in any way in Australia, so you won't find any nicotine products on this Australian site. It is legal to purchase nicotine online from overseas though. What safety measures should I take when mixing nicotine?

• Nicotine is a poison and must be treated with care, especially in high concentrations.
• Always wear gloves when handling nicotine, 100mg/ml is a high concentration and can absorb through the skin very quickly if spilt, resulting in the equivalent of hundreds or thousands of cigarettes worth of nicotine being absorbed in a very short amount of time.
• Avoid getting near the eyes and mouth.
• Always use measuring syringes to ensure the correct amount is added.
• Always mix into a bottle that you know the volume of to ensure accuracy when adding nicotine. Don't ever mix nicotine directly into your tank/pod, doing so can result in a dangerously high strength.
• Always store where children cannot access it, preferably locked away. Nicotine base is a poison and can be lethal if ingested.

Nicotine Chart

Today we will be explaining how to add nicotine to an RTV (ready to vape) flavour bottle. The chart above is pretty easy to use, simply align your bottle size with your desired nicotine strength to find how much nicotine to add to your bottle. This chart assumes that you are using nicotine with a strength of 100mg/ml so if you have nicotine with a different strength please be aware that these numbers will not be accurate. You will need to first remove the same amount of juice from your flavour bottle, and then replace it with the nicotine. Here are some examples:

If you have a 60ml bottle and you want a nicotine strength of 6mg, first remove 3.6ml of flavour from the bottle and then replace it with 3.6ml of nicotine base.

If you have a 50ml bottle and you want a nicotine strength of 7mg, first remove 3.5ml of flavour from the bottle and then replace it with 3.5ml of nicotine base.

If you have a 120ml bottle and you want a nicotine strength of 8mg, first remove 9.6ml of flavour from the bottle and then replace it with 9.6ml of nicotine base.

Please note that whether you're using freebase nicotine or salt nicotine, the mixing ratio is the same.

How do I mix nicotine?

There are usually two caps on an e-liquid bottle, an outer cap and an inner cap (with a nozzle). We must remove the inner cap to add nicotine to the bottle. This can be difficult as they're quite tight to ensure a good seal, we do have a tool available that makes it much easier though, you can find it here.

You will need to remove some flavoured e-liquid to fit the nicotine base in. Always use separate measuring syringes for coming into contact with the nicotine base and the flavours, using the same syringe for both will result in contamination of the nicotine base.

Carefully draw the correct amount of nicotine into a measuring syringe and add it to the bottle of flavoured e-liquid. Once the nicotine base has been added, replace the bottle caps tightly and shake vigorously for several minutes. This step is crucial as we must ensure that the nicotine is mixed into the e-liquid thoroughly.

Discard the used syringes, these are single-use items.

Once the nicotine has been mixed, leave it to settle for 24 hours. Before adding any e-liquid to your atomiser, give the bottle a shake.
